FINAL FAREWELL

On Monday 14 April 2014 I met Billy’s elder brother, Jack Hubner, Jack’s daughter Pauline Deas and her 2-year-old daughter Christie, to take, at my suggestion, the small amount of Billy’s ashes (which had been brought to Jack by a family friend when she returned from Australia in late May 2013) to Woodside Old Garden of Remembrance in Paisley.  Billy’s parents’ ashes had both been distributed there.  My photos show Jack distributing the ashes in the garden, under a nearby cherry tree, assisted by Pauline and Christie.  Whilst doing so, I played from my I-Pod Billy singing “My Ain Folk”.  Jack spoke a few words of remembrance and appreciation to all concerned.

Billy’s Scottish heart is home at last.
